Awarded to either a full-time or part-time student who will have completed half their courses* by the end of April 2017, and is from either the MI or MMSt program.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need, be an Ontario resident, and be in good academic standing.

Recipients of the award will be eligible for a summer internship at the HBC (at HBC's discretion), generally between the first and second year of their Masters program.

Special consideration will be given to those with a demonstrated adventurous spirit, interest in exploration, history, thirst for knowledge, see opportunities, is a big thinker, and willing to share ideas.

The position will not likely fall into community investment nor records management work, but appeal to students who study in the areas of Archives and Museum Studies.

Value: $4,500

*Please note:

  • MI students need to have completed 8 half-courses (4.0 FCE) by the end of April 2016.
  • MMSt students need to have 7 half-courses (3.5 FCE) by the end of April 2016.
